“We are very happy to announce that today the first five DSR aggregators have been accepted into the Flex Assure scheme. These companies are critical for the future of a flexible, low-carbon energy system in the UK. National Grid ESO stated yesterdaythe UK hasrunover 400hours coal free, following thecoal free fortnight. Demand Side Response aggregation supports this record-breaking streak and will help deliver flexibility at a large scale. “We encourage DSR customers to consider these five companies when evaluating the benefits of demand response services, as they haveall committed to schemeoversight of theirDSR products and services. We hope to be announcing the successful completion of more applications very soon, once all of the scheme’s requirements are completed.”
